WEEK ONE: Defination

Cross Disciplinary:
This involves two or more academic disciplines; interdisciplinary

Inter-disciplinary:
Inter-disciplinary involves the on of two or more academic fields. it is a situation whereby, two or more professions, fields, case studies are combined. An interdisciplinary, work can be made up of  people and ideas from multiple disciplinary or profession in order to address a certain(common) issue faced by all.

Trans-disciplinary:
A team composed of members of a number of different professions cooperating across disciplines to improve patient care through practice or research.

Quantitative research:
This generates numerical data or data that can be converted into numbers for a statistical review.  A typical example would be a restaurant survey card that asks “from 1 to 5, with one being ‘very dissatisfied’ and 5 being ‘very satisfied,’ how would you describe your dining experience today?” Ideally, quantitative research looks to obtain a statistically reliable sampling of respondents.

Ethnography:
is a qualitative research design aimed at exploring cultural phenomena. Ethnography, as the empirical data on human societies and cultures, was pioneered in the biological, social, and cultural branches of anthropology but has also become a popular in the social sciences in general sociology, communication studies, history—wherever people study ethnic groups, formations, compositions, re-settlements, social welfare characteristics, materialistic  spirituality, and a people's parthenogenesis

MEDIA USE

in  general, "media" refers to various means of communication. For example, television, radio, and the newspaper are different types of media. The term can also be used as a collective noun for the press or news reporting agencies. In the computer world, "media" is also used as a collective noun, but refers to different types of data storage options. Such a general statement is misleading. Pictures should only be used if they really illustrate what they are supposed to illustrate. If text and  picture are used, their presentation should be in close proximity to each other. Furthermore, illustrations should be commented to avoid misunderstandings and confusion
